Choose Starting Equipment
Each character begins with the following:
Wealth Points: Roll 1d4 to determine your Wealth Points, which can be spent immediately or saved for later use.
Weapons: Choose one melee weapon and one ranged weapon. The choice of weapon is purely aesthetic, as it does not affect Attack checks.
Armor: Select armor up to the limit allowed by your Endure die (refer to the Gear section for details).
Consumables: Start with two consumables, defaulting to Fix-Sticks. If the party includes a Stitcher, alternative consumables may be selected.
Party Supplies Die: The party’s Party Supplies Die starts at a d6 and serves as a shared resource.
This setup ensures that every character is prepared while allowing for individual customization.
Alright, now to determine my bounty hunter’s starting kit:
Wealth Points: I rolled a d4 and got 2 wealth points to start.
Weapons: Since weapons are purely for flavor, let's ensure they match the aesthetic I am aiming for. I envision my bounty hunter using an old ballistic sniper rifle. While it may not be as advanced as some newer models, it is considered untraceable. As a last resort, if I find myself cornered, I'll quickly pull out my switchblade.
Armor: Since I have a d8 Endure, I can wear up to Flak Armor. This provides me with some additional Armor Points, and I can manage the -1 to my speed since my base speed is 8. Aesthetically, I envision this as a plate carrier body armor equipped with extra ammunition and various tools of the trade.
Consumables: I never take a job without at least a Fix-Stick to patch me up and a Frag in case the job calls for explosives. I am going to take one of each as my starting consumables.
Party Supplies Die: The Game Master told me that we are actually starting the campaign in the middle of the mission, and our supplies are dwindling. Hopefully, my outstanding Glean can help the party track down more supplies.
