Death Ray: 2nd - Action - Manifest - 12 Spaces

The Maleficar unleashes a malevolent ray of necrotic energy. The Maleficar selects a target within range. They must succeed on a Navigate check against the Maleficar’s Manifest die; otherwise, they take Escalation damage and have their Endure die reduced by one size.

Backlash Hex: 3rd - Reaction - Manifest - 6 Spaces

The Maleficar manipulates the energy of their victim's successes and turns it against them. When the Maleficar takes damage from an opponent within range, they can target that opponent with a Backlash Hex as a reaction. The attacker must succeed on a contested Manifest check or take Escalation damage.

Curse of Unmaking: 4th - Action - Manifest - 6 Spaces - Focus - 1 Minute

The Maleficar brands their enemy with a suffocating curse, making every action they take burdensome. The Maleficar selects a target within range. They must succeed on a contested Manifest check. If they fail, they take 1 point of damage each time they take an action for the duration of this power.

Eldritch Pact: 5th - Action - Manifest - 6 Spaces

The Maleficar compels their victim into doing their bidding. The Maleficar selects a target within range. The target must succeed on a Glean check against the Maleficar's Manifest die. On a failure, they are compelled to use their first action on their next turn to follow the Maleficar's command. The Maleficar can force the affected creature to harm themselves or attack their allies.
