Watcher

Watchers are the remnants of old security drones, barely held together by patchwork repairs and rusting components. Originally designed to monitor restricted areas, these drones have adapted to self-repair using whatever materials they can scavenge, including scrap metal, discarded wiring, and even the remains of fallen foes.

Their optics emit a flickering blue glow as they silently hover, scanning for intruders with outdated yet persistent programming. Although they lack advanced weaponry, they compensate for this with razor-sharp tendrils and the ability to relay enemy locations to nearby automatons. The Rusted are notorious for hijacking these Watchers and repurposing them into makeshift sentinels for their hideouts.

The Watcher locks onto a target, broadcasting their movements to allied automatons. Choose a foe within range. Until the end of their next turn, all automatons have advantage when making an Attack check against that foe.

Reconstructive Adaptation: 2nd - Passive - Endure - Self

The Watcher passively repairs its structure using nearby debris and mechanical scrap. At the start of its turn, the Watcher regains 1 Armor Point.

Tactical Relay: 3rd - Reaction - Glean - 12 Spaces:

The Watcher instantly transmits enemy positioning to nearby allies. When the Watcher notices a hidden foe, they can use a reaction to allow any number of creatures within range to notice that creature as well.

Disrupting Pulse: 4th - Action -Glean - 6 Spaces

The Watcher releases a burst of electromagnetic energy, scrambling enemy systems. Choose a foe within range. They must succeed on a Manifest check against the Watcher’s Glean die or suffer disadvantage on all Manifest or Glean checks (your choice) until the end of their next turn.

Self-Destruct Protocol: 5th - Passive - Glean - Self - 3 Space Radius

The Watcher, recognizing imminent destruction, detonates in an explosive surge of energy. When reduced to 0 Life Points, the Watcher explodes, forcing all creatures within 3 spaces to succeed on and Navigate Check against the Watcher’s Glean Die or take Escalation damage.
