The Maelstrom strikes with tendrils of pure chaos. The Maelstrom targets a foe within range and makes a Ranged Attack check against them. On a hit, the target takes escalation damage, and the Maelstrom recovers half of that escalation damage as Life Points.
Reality Warp:3rd - Action - Navigate - 6 Spaces
The Maelstrom shifts unpredictably, suddenly appearing in another location with a flicker of distorted space. The Maelstrom teleports to an unoccupied space it can see within range, affecting all creatures adjacent to both its starting and ending positions. These creatures must succeed on an Endure check or take Escalation damage. A creature cannot be damaged by both the starting and ending positions.

When an enemy within range tries to move, the Maelstrom distorts the space around them. When an enemy takes the move action, the Maelstrom can attempt to disrupt their movement. The enemy must succeed on a contested Manifest check; otherwise, they will be teleported to an unoccupied space of the Maelstrom's choosing, and their move action will be wasted.

The Maelstrom erupts in a final, devastating release of energy. All enemies that begin their turn or enter the range of the Maelstrom must succeed on an Endure check against the Maelstrom's Manifest die or take escalation damage.
