Derive Stats
The chosen capacities not only determine what die you roll capacity checks with. Capacities also determine some key stats for your character.
Maximum Life Points: This equals the maximum value of your Endure die.
Base Speed: This equals the maximum value of your Navigate die.
Maximum Range: This equals the maximum value of your Glean die.
Let’s see if my chosen capacities result in my envisioned stats.
Maximum Life Points: My d8 Endure gives me 8 maximum Life Points.
Base Speed: My d8 Navigate gives me a Base Speed of 8.
Maximum Range: My d12 means I can make ranged attacks against foes up to 12 spaces away before suffering disadvantage.
It looks like my capacities help fulfill that fantasy of a long-ranged threat I had hoped for.
